Lactobacillus gasseri is a species in the genus Lactobacillus. It is part of the vaginal flora.[1] Its genome has been sequenced.[2] L. gasseri is a normal inhabitant of the lower reproductive tract in healthy women.[3]
L. gasseri produces gassericin A, a bacteriocin.[4]
