Larkfield, Greenock

Larkfield is the largest council housing estate in Greenock, Inverclyde, Scotland.

It is named after Larkfield Farm but Larkfield Road is mostly in Gourock rather than Larkfield itself. The main road through the estate is Burns Road – all of Larkfield lower than Burns Road is known as the "bottom end" with everything above it the "top end".

Aileymill and St Andrews primary schools are both situated in Larkfield, as was Springfield until recently. River Clyde Homes are currently constructing 42 new family homes at the old Springfield site. Sacred Heart Primary School has been home to the Larkfield Children's Centre for some years. St Andrew's Church is on Auchmead Road, as is Ravenscraig Stadium, Inverclyde Athletic's stadium, home to Greenock Juniors F.C. Football Club.

Larkfield has its own online digital community page for residents and businesses based within the Larkfield area, Greenock.

Forms part of the Larkfield, Braeside & Branchton Community Council (LBBCC). A varied mix of privately owned semi-detached dwellings are supplemented with new-build and refurbished local authority come Housing Association stock. Amenities in the area include a Bakery, Takeaways, Supermarkets, Health & Beauty, Post-Office & Pharmacies. There is also a thriving industrial estate within Larkfield where local, regional and international companies choose for their HQ. This list includes Inverclyde Taxis, McGills Buses & Texas Instruments.

Public Transportation links are well served in the community by the 517 Service from Greenock to Burns Sq operating every few minutes during peak-times. Taxi Services are operated by Inverclyde Taxis alongside other private companies within the area. Trains every hour on the Glasgow – Wemyss Bay service stopping at nearby Branchton station provide opportunity for a journey into the heart of Glasgow in under an hour.
