Laufeia is a spider genus of the Salticidae family (jumping spiders) with Asian distribution, where they are found on shrubs and other plants.

Relationships

Also most species of this genus are probably congeneric, they do probably not belong to the type species, L. aenea (Bohdanowicz & Proszynski, 1987).

Name

The genus name is possibly derived from Laufeia the mother of the Norse god, Loki.
