Lee James Gaze (born 21 May 1975 in Pontypridd, Wales) is a Welsh musician. He is the lead guitarist, and also one of the founding members, of band No Devotion and previously a member of Lostprophets.

Career

Gaze was born in Pontypridd, Wales. He grew up on a council estate, and was childhood friends with future bandmate Mike Lewis. Gaze did not do well at school: as he told Kerrang! in 2006, "They were the kids that did better in school and, before I discovered music, I was a total delinquent".[1]

Gaze formed his first band, Aftermath, in 1996. The following year, he founded Gaze the band Lostprophets, for whom he was the lead guitarist. The band disbanded in October 2013.[2] The remaining members later formed a new band, No Devotion, with Geoff Rickly as lead singer.[3]
