List of Life Is Beautiful episodes
MediaCorp Channel 8's television series Life Is Beautiful is a medical drama serial produced by MediaCorp Singapore in 2014. The drama is a collaboration between MediaCorp and the National Kidney Foundation (NKF), which hopes to raise awareness of kidney-related diseases.
It is currently airing on MediaCorp Channel 8 in Singapore from 5 March 2015 and will run until April 2015.[1]

| Miaoyu (Aileen Tan) and Zhanpeng (Allen Chen) are shocked Chuyi needs kidney dialysis right away. He drinks in misery, and his ex-girlfriend, Simone, grabs the opportunity to get back with him. He is afraid of having to take care of Chuyi for the rest of her life. Miaoyu decides to donate one of her kidneys to Chuyi. Relieved, Zhanpeng decides to inform his parents only after the surgery is done. Jiayi is badly affected by the news. Her father, Qingde (Chen Shucheng), takes time off to counsel her. He is proud of her and happy that she has found a good husband. | ||

| Chuyi pretends to be strong but is, in fact, devastated by the breakup of her relationship with Zhanpeng. Jiayi and Yu Yang console her. Zhanpeng calls on Chuyi at the dialysis centre. Unable to accept her condition, he throws her a cheque and leaves. Shaoping (Hong Huifang) goes to the office to see Chuyi and learns she has yet to return to work. Chuyi insists on returning to the office after her dialysis session, but is so tired that she falls asleep. Yu Yang takes her home. When he notices her crying in the park over Zhanpeng, he urges her not to grieve over an unworthy man. Jiajia (Ya Hui) reluctantly agrees to be Jiayi’s bridesmaid, as Chuyi is unable to oblige. | ||

| Yu Yang advises Jiayi to give Chuyi some time to consider the offer. Junkai (Dasmond Koh) meets Chuyi at the dialysis centre and is sorry she has kidney disease as well. He reveals he has not accepted the kidney from his sister, Junxiu (Seraph Sun), as he is not yet ready. Chuyi meets Junxiu, who tells her everybody is worried about Junkai and would be relieved if he agrees to accept her kidney. Thinking of her own predicament, Chuyi advises her to give him more time to consider. | ||

| Shaoping asks Yu Yang to organise a birthday party in her garden, and she wants Chuyi and Yu Yang to sing a song. Yu Yang and Chuyi learn Shaoping is fighting a court case with her brother-in-law, Chen Guodong (Johnny Ng), who wants to take over the company’s shares. As the business was left behind by Shaoping’s father-in-law and her husband had built it up before his death, she is determined not to let Guodong take everything away. Chuyi reconciles with Jiayi, but urges her not to mention the kidney transplant again. | ||

| After the wedding rehearsal, a car races towards the group and knocks Jiayi down. After a few days, she is pronounced brain dead. As she had signed the donor papers, her kidney will be given to Chuyi upon her death. As everyone bids Jiayi goodbye, Chuyi is pushed into the operating theatre for surgery. The surgery is a success. Though Chuyi has not recovered, she insists on sending Jiayi off on her final journey. | ||

| While tending to Jiayi's plant, Chuyi finds a note from her under the pot. Jiayi’s wish is to see her and Yu Yang leading their lives well. Chuyi tells Yu Yang she is hungry and that he should adhere to his promise to Jiayi and take her out for a meal. Zhongken (Jeffrey Xu) gets to know Shaoping through Yu Yang at the furniture shop. Shaoping worries when Zhongken shares that Yu Yang is working relentlessly in an effort to forget Jiayi. Zhongken eats with Jiayi’s parents and realises the Cais eat rich foods, as Cuijiao (Lin Meijiao) often brings leftover food home from the restaurant where she works. He reminds Jiajia that leftover food is not nutritious. | ||

| Chuyi thanks Jiayi’s family for giving her a second lease of life and promises to live her life well for Jiayi’s sake. Zaizai (Ian Fang) notices Cat with another man and is jealous. Chuyi encourages him to make his feelings known to Cat, but Fang-jie (Cynthia Koh) insists Cat is mercenary and Zaizai has no chance with her. Chuyi resigns, but hopes Yu Yang will retain her. She is disappointed when he accepts her resignation. Yu Yang tells Zhongken he agreed to let Chuyi leave as she should not be working overtime, to the point of exhaustion, given her condition. | ||

| Yu Yang insists on going to work the next day. He trips and causes Chuyi to be injured. She hopes Zhongken will be able to convince him to rest. She also tells Zhongken about the photographs in Yu Yang’s house. Shaoping visits Yu Yang in hospital. He assumes she is concerned about the progress of her project. Chuyi asks Zhongken to conduct exercise classes to educate fellow patients on its benefits. Uncle Liang regrets neglecting his health after his kidney transplant, thus causing his relapse. Chuyi and Zikang visit Huimin (Tracy Lee) and counsel her by relating their own experiences. Zaizai is upset Cat does not visit him in the hospital. He is unable to communicate properly with Chuyi and Fang-jie. | ||

| Incensed, Yu Yang chases Chuyi away. However, he reflects on what she has said and decides to put the past behind him. He asks her to continue working in the company. Fei-ge (Cavin Soh) has no time for exercise. To compensate, he takes all kinds of supplements. While filming in Shaoping’s house, Yu Yang relates his problems. Guodong turns up and sneers at Shaoping for abandoning her husband and son to seduce his brother. Chuyi is surprised the demure Shaoping is such a terrible person in the eyes of her in-laws. | ||

| Fang-jie tells Cat off for recommending all kinds of supplements and tonics to Fei-ge. Chuyi returns to the office and receives a potted plant from Yu Yang. She learns Yu Yang has hired Junkai and even agreed to give him time off for his dialysis sessions. Shaoping is so dazed during a meeting that Yu Yang asks Ann (Sora Ma) whether Guodong has created trouble yet again for her. Shaoping is happy he seems to care for her welfare. Yu Yang is sad an antique shop he used to frequent with Jiayi is closing down. | ||

| Chuyi rushes back to the office to sound Yu Yang out. He makes it clear he does not hate his mother anymore, but will not acknowledge her. Shaoping is sad when told this. Cuijiao develops dengue fever when Jiajia is overseas. Chuyi and Yu Yang take care of her and spend the night at her place. The next day, Jiajia sees Chuyi and Yu Yang in her home and is shocked. While out jogging, Jiajia discovers Zhongken has been waiting for her every day. He tells her off for putting on weight again. He is about to express his feelings for her when she asserts that she will never accept a boyfriend like him, who is obsessed with exercise and weight loss. | ||

| Jiajia is stunned when Zhongken kisses her. She does not believe he would fall in love with someone of her size. Chuyi visits Cuijiao and Qingde with health-conscious food. They get along so well that Jiajia feels left out. Her parents' concern for Chuyi also leaves her feeling disgruntled. Chuyi learns Simone was living with Zhanpeng in Shanghai and had given birth to a child with heart problems. She left them and eloped with another man. Yu Yang objects to Chuyi helping Zhanpeng. When she asserts that she has forgiven Zhanpeng and hopes he will forget his hatred for his mother, he quarrels with her. Chuyi leads a group of volunteers on a beach cleaning exercise. The area they focus on is where Yu Yang took his wedding pictures with Jiayi. | ||

| Jiajia falls off the stairs at work and subsequently goes into a coma. Cuijiao and Qingde are terrified of losing another daughter. Jiajia survives but is unable to walk due to a broken leg. Miaoyu visits Jiajia in the hospital and tells Cuijiao she is Chuyi’s mother. Cuijiao is surprised. Zhongken has mixed feelings when he looks at Jiajia while she is sleeping. Qingde reveals Jiajia has heart problems, as well as high cholesterol and high blood pressure. Zhongken resolves to help Jiajia lose weight. Yu Yang is unhappy when Zhanpeng turns up to pick Chuyi up to go to the hospital. He hints that she is kind and often forgets the hurt others inflict on her. | ||

| Yu Yang dreams about Chuyi tearing up his wedding portrait. He struggles with his confusion, as he feels that he cannot let Jiayi down. Shaoping rewards Yu Yang and his staff with a hotel stay in Sentosa. Yu Yang feels awkward around Chuyi. Huimin refuses to stop harassing him, and Junkai finally reveals Chuyi is the woman he likes. He tells Chuyi that all he wants is to stay by her side and help others, as she is his angel. He feels she and Yu Yang are more compatible. Shaoping gives Yu Yang a talisman during dinner. | ||

| Chuyi admits to Yu Yang it is one-sided love on her part and hopes they can keep things on a status quo. He agrees. Huimin hits her head against a lamp-post when Junkai rejects her yet again. Chuyi is sad to learn Huimin has kidney disease and needs to undergo dialysis. Huimin takes it in her stride and asks Chuyi to arrange for her and Junkai to do their dialysis together. | ||

| Chuyi exercises with Jiajia, who is determined to get back into shape and change her pessimistic outlook. Yu Yang gives Shaoping a lift. He deliberately drives her to their old house and talks about his hatred for his mother. Zhongken turns up with his dog and reconciles with Jiajia. Chuyi and Yu Yang remain silent when Jiajia asks if they like each other. Yu Yang realises he has fallen for Chuyi but is unable to bring himself to be in a relationship with her. He asks her out and they sort things out. | ||

| Yu Yang is affected by Zhanpeng's comments on his love for Jiayi. He accepts Chuyi’s resignation and decides not to see her again. Cuijiao treats Chuyi coldly; she declares that she cannot accept her relationship with Yu Yang. Qingde is unable to change her mind. Qingde tells Chuyi he is worried his taxi licence will be revoked, since he failed the medical test. | ||

| Ann tells Yu Yang that all Shaoping wanted was to spend more time with him, as she knew it is difficult for him to forgive her. He realises that what he said that day must have caused her heart attack, which proved fatal. However, he refuses to show his remorse. Chuyi asks Zhongken and Jiajia about Yu Yang and is embarrassed when Cuijiao lashes out at her. By chance, Chuyi meets Yu Yang, and asks whether he had known for a long time that Shaoping was his mother. | ||

| Yu Yang finally shows his remorse and confides in Chuyi about Shaoping. She does her best to console him. Back home, Miaoyu, Albert and Zhanpeng are discussing their upcoming trip. Chuyi makes up excuses not to join them on their tour. Miaoyu senses something amiss. When told the latest, she urges Chuyi to make a choice between Yu Yang and Zhanpeng. Liang and Yuan will be undergoing the kidney transplant surgery soon. Chuyi hopes the other patients will get their turns too. | ||
