List of Rin-ne episodes

Rin-ne is a Japanese anime television series, produced by Brain's Base and directed by Seiki Sugawara, based on the manga by Rumiko Takahashi. The first season aired 25 episodes from April 4 to September 20, 2015, and the second season is airing from April 9, 2016.[1] The screenplay is written by Michiko Yokote and the music composed by Akimitsu Honma.[2][3] For the first season, the first opening theme is "Ōkaranman" (桜花爛漫, "Riot of Cherry Blossoms") by Keytalk and the first ending theme is "Tokinowa" (トキノワ, "Ring of Time") by Passepied.[4] From episode 14 onwards, the second opening theme is "Ura no Ura" (裏の裏, "Back of the Back") by Passepied and the second ending theme is "Futatsu no Sekai" (ふたつの世界, "Two Worlds") by Quruli.[5] For the second season, the first opening theme is "Melody" by Pile and the first ending theme is "Hanashi o Shiyō" (話をしよう, "Let's Talk") by Glim Spanky. From episode 38 onwards, the second opening theme is "Ainii" (アイニー) by CreepHyp and the second ending theme is "Beautiful Life" by Shiggy Jr.

Ever since she was a child, Sakura Mamiya capable of seeing ghosts. However, after all these years she just wishes she'd lose this ability. One day, one of his classmates who never went to school, Rinne Rokudō, finally shows up. She realizes, however, that nobody else can see him, so she assumes he is a ghost. Meeting him again later on, she finds out he's actually a living person, and he tries to send two ghosts who merged to the world of the dead, having to save Sakura from them. The next day, Sakura's classmate Rika tells her she is receiving mysterious calls on her new cellphone.

Sakura and the rest of the students from her school get a warning from a masked woman in a kimono, telling them to make an offering in the weather box or be cursed forever. She questions Rinne about it and he replies that he's doing his duties as a shinigami. The masked woman, revealed to be Rinne's grandmother, arrives to retrieve the students' offerings and is followed by both Rinne and Sakura into the spirit world. After being separated from him, Sakura meets with a damashigami bunny who tries to get her on the Rinne no Wa. Rinne manages to prevent that situation and Sakura remembers from her childhood that she met both the damashigami and Rinne's grandma in the spirit world. She also remembers eating candy from said world that allowed her to see spirits.

Curious about his actual identity, Sakura learns from Rinne that his grandma Tamako married his human grandfather and granted him a longer lifespan. After a spiritual incident at an abandoned club building, she comes across a cat that turns out to be Rokumon, sent by Tamako to help her grandson in his shinigami duties. Sakura finds out that Rinne lives in the abandoned building because his grandpa died and that he has to take on his grandma's entire shinigami workload due to marrying and extending the lifespan of a human. The next day, another spiritual presence is felt around the building.
