The Osmania University (OU) is a state university which is located in Hyderabad, India. It was established in 1918 with the help of chief Architect of Mahbub Ali Khan - Nawab Sarwar Jung. The University was named after the last Nizam of Hyderabad, Mir Osman Ali Khan. It is the first University in India to have Urdu as an official language. The engineering colleges affiliated to Osmania University are also approved by All India Council For Technical Education.[1]
