Description
The painting is an oil on canvas, with dimensions 57.5 x 73 centimeters. It is in the collection of the Saarland Museum, in Saarbrücken.[1][2]
Analysis
In this period of "The New Painting," Marc was attempting to enter into the spirit of the horse, in a non-western way.[3]
In 2016, the work was part of a lecture, "Meisterwerke im Dialog III".[4]
