Looking Beyond is an abstract public artwork by American artist James Wille Faust, located at the Allison Pointe Office Park in Indianapolis, Indiana. It was fabricated by the D.R. Short Steel Company, which is now known as Suburban Steel Supply.[1]
Description
Abstract in design, Looking Beyond comprises a collection of steel squares bolted together to create geometric patterns. It rests on small rectangular blocks and sits on its side. Its highest point rises 17 feet high from the ground. It was described the Smithsonian Institution as representing a face.[1]
Condition
The work was surveyed in 1992 as part of the Save Outdoor Sculpture! program. It was described as being "well-maintained" upon review.[1]
