Lords Of Black is a Spanish power metal band formed in Madrid in 2014 by singer Ronnie Romero, guitarist Tony Hernando and drummer Andy C.
History
Founding, early career
Tony Hernando, renowned rock guitarist as a solo artist and also a guitarist and co-producer of the Saratoga group between 2007 and 2013, founded with Ronnie Romero Lords Of Black with a truly international approach and stylistic wave of modern metal but the classic, progressive and melodic time. It quickly joined the project Andy C., battery mate Tony Hernando was in Saratoga and start working hard months in composition, arrangement, production and recording with guitarist and producer Roland Grapow (Masterplan, Helloween) legendary. The debut album, self-titled "Lords of Black" was released in May 2014 and quickly the public and critical reaction was unanimous: it is one of the best releases of the year in style.
The first shows live presentation, including posts as special guests of bands internationally renowned as Gotthard, Unisonic and Helloween confirmed them as accurate a machine and powerful on stage, perfectly recreating the complexity and majesty of his studio album and adding details scenic and visual to show.
These live performances of Lords of Black did nothing but enhance that reputation both at fans and within the same international scene. It is however, during production of the new album in 2015 when the "story of the year" in the world of Rock explodes and spreads like fire: Ritchie Blackmore announced his return to Rock with a new line up of Rainbow which contains Ronnie himself in front Romero as new singer. This announcement changes everything; Lords of Black is finally world discovered and the signing of the band is produced by the label Frontiers Records, with whom they drew to the world their new album "Lords of Black II" [1] in March 2016, and again, the reviews audiences and critics are unanimous: this is one of the best work of the year Metal.
Lords Of Black - The debut album (2014)
The debut album of the band self-titled, has twelve more songs an instrumental introduction. This album combines riffs and elaborate structures with harmonies and unexpected and original twists on some letters and varied and maintained themes that result in a powerful and entertaining drive.
The album is co-produced by Tony Hernando and Roland Grapow, the latter who is also responsible for mixing and mastering in his Grapow Studios in Slovakia giving the album a very modern sound with a strong batteries and sharp and defined guitars. All this plastering with a defined low and rich orchestrations, on which the special voice of Romero shines brightly.
Highlights the issues "Lords of Black", "Nothing to Fear", "The Grand Design", "At the end of the world", songs really worked impactful melodies and choruses that are not forgotten ( "The World That came after "," Would you take me "," Forgive or Forget "," Too close to the edge ") with more epics like" The art of Illusion "Part I" Smoke and Mirrors "-Part II" The man from beyond ". All it enclosed with the part of almost ten minutes long "When everything is gone". The album is full of virtuosic brushwork by Tony Hernando and Andy C. that are integrated in a balanced way through all the passages.
II (2016)
In early 2016, the band signed a contract with the Italian label Frontiers Records under which they released their second album II. In its creation, they used the same formula of his previous work with Roland Grapow leading the project in the produucción, mixing and emasterización. However, II is not only the continuation of his outstanding debut album acclaimed, but contains more elaborate and expeimentales issues.[2][3]
