Lucy Victoria Collett (born 3 March 1989[1][2]), also known as Lucy V and Lucy Vixen,[3] is a British glamour model from Warwick, England.

She won The Sun newspaper's Page 3 Idol 2012 modeling contest, and she frequently appears as a Page 3 girl in that newspaper. She has been featured regularly in men's magazines, such as Nuts, Zoo, Front, Loaded, and Maxim.[3] In addition to her own subscription based website, she has modeled for several internet based erotic websites, such as Suicide Girls,[4] Pinup Wow,[5] Onlytease,[6] CurvedFX,[7] and Xtreme Playpen.[8]

In May 2013, FHM magazine named her one of its 100 Sexiest Women in the World, placing 89th on the list.[9][10]

Career

At Boston Megafest, December 2013

Collett began her modeling career at age 17 as a hair model for Toni & Guy salons.[11] At this time, she began dyeing her naturally brown hair blond and, later, her signature red color.[11] In December 2011, at the age of 22, she was declared the winner of The Sun's Page 3 Idol 2012 competition and became a Page 3 girl.[11][12]

When Lucy won the competition, she was a dress size 12 (UK) and 30G bra.[11][13] FHM called her part of a "welcome new trend for curvaceous womanliness."[10] Her voluptuous figure and red hair have drawn comparisons with actress Christina Hendricks and cartoon sex symbol Jessica Rabbit.[14] The Sun has sent Collett onto the streets of London dressed as Joan Holloway, Hendricks's character in Mad Men, to gauge men's reaction.[14] Collett has always tried to "send out the message that you don’t have to be a size six to be a model"[12] and that she wants to promote a healthy body image for girls and women.[15] In 2015, Lucy decided she would be more comfortable with a fuller figure and then started using the #curvemodel tag on Instagram when flaunting her size 16/18 (UK) curves.[16][17]

Lucy has presented Nuts magazine's web series of games news and reviews, "Girl Got Game",[18] and, in March 2015, she began presenting ZOO magazine's web series "Game On".[19] In February 2015, she presented a one-off video feature with Talksport.[20]

She has appeared in music videos, including Professor Green's song "Remedy",[21] and Attention Thieves' song "Bring Yourself to Justice".[22]

Personal life

Before becoming a full-time professional model, she worked for six years as a waitress at Warwick Castle.[15]

Collett's father is a property developer, and her mother is a chiropodist.[11] She is the youngest of four children. Her parents divorced when she was 4 years old, after which she lived with her mother.[11] She attended Myton School in Warwick.[15]

On 19 May 2005, her 17-year-old brother Jacob was assaulted by another teenager following an altercation outside a pub in Leamington.[23] He suffered a brain haemorrhage and died in Warwick Hospital around 1am on 20 May 2005. His assailant was subsequently convicted of manslaughter and received a six-year prison sentence.[24][25] Her brother's death caused Lucy to suffer from a year-long depression and engage in incidents of self-harming. She credits an interest in photography, which she studied for her A-levels, with giving her the ability to overcome her grief and depression and rebuild her life.[11]
