Lukoran is a village in Croatia. Lukoran is mentioned in the 1068. It is the birthplace of Simon Klimantović (Klemenović, around 1460-1520), Glagolitic writer, as he said for himself in his chronicle of the Glagolitic (1511). His two collections are kept in the Russian National Library in St. Petersburg and one in Zagreb.
Lukoran is a place of fishermen and with his three settlements, Mali Lukoran, Turkija and Prtljug. The highest peak of the island is Šćah (286m).
