Lycaena heteronea, the blue copper, is a butterfly of the Lycaenidae family. It is found in the western Canada and the United States.[2]
The wingspan is 26–33 mm. Adults are on wing from April to August.[2]
The larvae feed on Eriogonum fasciculatum, Eriogonum latifolium, Eriogonum umbellatum, Eriogonum nudum, and Eriogonum microthecum.[1][2]
