Madden NFL 13 Social was a sports simulation video game for Facebook and iOS. The game is a trading card/sports game where the player can buy cards in packs and use them to play against their opponents.
Game elements
- Packs
After playing games, users collect coins that they can use to buy packs of cards. There are 1-star packs for 5,000 coins, 2-star packs for 15,000 coins, and 3-star packs for 25,000 coins.
- Auctions
When players have a card, they may put it up for auction with "bid" and "buy now" prices. They can also buy other peoples auction cards.
- Energy
After playing a game, players take off one point of energy and regain it over time or by leveling up. Players can only have 10 energy at a time.
- Achievements
Players can earn achievements in their games—such as Pass for 500 yards or Rush for 200 yards—and earn XP and coins from the achievement.
The game shut down on September 2, 2013.
