Jamil Rahmat Vance
Major General Jamil Rahmat Vance was born in a Rajput family in a small village of Mara Khai located about a kilometer from the town of Islamgarh in Mirpur Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Pakistan.
He attended Kalyal Bainse primary school, Islamgarh high school and later Mirpur City College. He was inspired by his uncle Faizalam a retired Colonel from the Pakistan Army and joined as a commissioning officer.
Major General Vance is a dedicated career professional and the first person from the town of Islamgarh and probably the only person from the district of Mirpur, to have been promoted to the rank of a major general.
Major General Jamil Rahmat Vance is famous son of the Mirpur district.
