" Mama Liked the Roses" is a song by Elvis Presley and recorded in 1969. The song was released as the B-side to "The Wonder of You" 45 single on April 20, 1970 and the 1970 RCA Camden LP Elvis' Christmas Album. As a single, it failed to chart on the Billboard Hot 100, but reached number 65 on the Cashbox charts.[2] The song was composed by John L. Christopher, who also co-wrote "Always on My Mind".[3]
