Mamqan (Persian: ممقان; also Romanized as Mamqān and Mamaqān; also known as Māmāgān) [1] is a city in and the capital of Mamqan District, in Tabriz County, East Azerbaijan Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 13,365, in 6,258 families.[2]
