Marco Antonio Díaz (born 19 February 1991) is a Guatemalan football player who started his professional career in Antigua GFC as right back and central defender.

Career

Diaz was born in Atescatempa, Jutiapa, Guatemala. He joined La Academia FC in 2001 as midfielder and played there all his youth football career till 2010. He participated in numerous international tournament in Europe, USA, Mexico and Central America some of which included Dallas Cup, Dana Cup and The Gothia Cup.

In 2011 he join the inferior category of Antigua GFC where after playing for a few months he was appointed a captain. Less than a year later, Díaz was selected for the first team [1] where he made 51 appearances and scored 4 goals.[2]

National team

Diaz has played for Guatemala at various youth levels, appearing for the Guatemala national under-17 football team at the Premundial Sub 17 2008 in Mexico. He played with the Guatemala national under-20 football team at the 2011 FIFA U-20 Qualify World Cup.
