Matt Kelchner (born March 5, 1959) is an American football coach. He is the head football coach at Christopher Newport University in Newport News, Virginia Kelchner was hired as Christopher Newport's first head coach on May 9, 2000.[1] He previously served as an assistant coach at The College of William & Mary, from 1984 to 2000.
Over 15 seasons at Christopher Newport, Kelchner has compiled an overall record of 102–57, guided his team to the NCAA Division III playoffs nine times, and been named USA South Coach of the Year seven times.
