Matthew Williams (laborer)

Matthew Williams was lynched on December 4, 1931 in Salisbury, Maryland.^[1] He was pulled from a bed in Peninsula General Hospital where he was being treated for a self-inflicted gunshot wound, thrown out of a window and hanged.^[1] He had been hospitalized after he shot and killed his white employer and attempted suicide.^[2]
