Maurice of Montreal

Maurice of Montreal or Maurice of Oultrejordain (French: Maurice de Montréal; died after 1153, but before 1161), was Lord of Oultrejordain from c. 1147 until his death.

After his uncle's death Pagan the Butler, Lord of Oultrejordain, Maurice became his successor.[1] As Lord of Oultrejordain he lived in the castle of Montreal.

In 1153 Maurice participated as a vassal of Baldwin III of Jerusalem in the Siege of Ascalon.[2] After his death the lordship returned to the royal domain, but Maurice had a daughter and heiress, Isabella, but it is not yet clear why again be restored again only when she married with Philip of Milly around 1160.
