George Alvin (born March 16, 1993) better known by his stage name Max Ryder is an American pornographic actor and model.[2] He uses his first name as a stylist,[3] but as a pornographic actor and model uses his stage name.[4] In 2013 Max Ryder winning the Grabby Awards "Best Newcomers" for the performance in Project GoGo Boy, a tie with the coprotagonist Jake Bass.

Biography

Born in Connecticut George moved to New York City to study. He left fashion school and start working as a cashier at H&M.[3] In a hotel in New York he met Jake Jaxson, CEO of CockyBoys, who introduced him into the world of gay porn as Max Ryder, and signed him as an exclusive model.[5][4] He works as a freelance stylist for Armani Exchange Online, Esquire Magazine, Nylon Magazine, and to several spreads in Paper Magazine.[3] In April 2013 Max became model of the week for The Underwear Expert.[6]

Career

George Alvin began his career in porn in 2012 under the name Max Ryder. Initially, the name was to be Max Hayden.[5]

He did his first scene the weekend after meeting Jaxson, just for the money, as claimed by him. He debuted with the film Break Him In: Tommy Initiates Max with Tommy Defendi the same year.[7][8] Max Ryder signed an exclusive contract of two years with CockyBoys when he was 19 years old, the youngest exclusive at the company.[4]

Also, in 2012 the film company started a joint project, model exchange partnership, with the Czech company BelAmi,[9] that brought Max in Europe to work in two films: American Lovers part three (2012) and American Lovers part four (2013).[10] Following Max Ryder, he declared that on that occasion he shot the hottest scenes of his career.[5]

Outside of these exceptions, Max always worked under the direction of Jake Jaxson. His most successful films are the miniseries led by CockyBoys: Project GoGo Boy (2013), which won him the Grabby Awards "Best Newcomers", and Road Strip (2014). Both, as much of the career of Max Ryder, seen among the main themes friendship/rivalry between him and the exclusive CockyBoys model Jake Bass.[11]

In January 2014, he announced his retirement from the world of porn and announced plans to write a book about his two years in the world of adult movies.[12] After his retirement, in 2015, Jake Jaxson launched the latest work by Max Ryder, Answered Prayers, who took cues from events that took place between Cockyboys, and the young pornographic actor, Jet Black (alias Jeepe Hansen).[13]
