GDI operates in the North American Facility Services industry. The Company's services are used by many of the largest owners or managers of large property portfolios and large specialized facilities in Canada and the U.S. With over 20,000 employees, GDI is the largest facility services provider in Canada and one of the five largest five largest in North America. The Company serves a diversified group of clients who operate or occupy various facilities such as office buildings, hotels, shopping centres, industrial facilities, airports and other transportation facilities, and healthcare establishments, which rely on outsourced facility services as an essential part of their facility maintenance. Due to its size, geographic scope, range of offered services, reputation, and brand recognition in the commercial janitorial market, the Company’s legacy market, the Company is invited to participate in most of the requests for tenders for large commercial janitorial service contracts in Canada and in selected geographies in the U.S.

President and CEO, Claude Bigras, who has been with the Company since 1994, and a senior management team with an average of over 20 years of experience in the outsourced janitorial services industry, have been instrumental in developing customer relationships and growing the Company to its current market position.
