"Mr Endowed" is a song by Nigerian Afrobeat recording artist D'banj, released on May 23, 2010. The song was produced by Don Jazzy. It was included on Mr. Endowed 's track listing, an album that was never released due to D'banj's breakup with Don Jazzy and Mo' Hits.[1][2][3] The song was allegedly recorded after D'banj signed a major international recording contract with Kanye West's GOOD Music. During an interview with April Woodard of BET, D'banj confirmed the rumours and speculations about the aforementioned contract.[4]
D'banj performed the song at Chris Aire's "Hollywood Jewels" event in April 2010.[1]
Critical reception
Upon its release, the song was met with positive reviews. Demola OG of NotJustOk said: "You can tell that this track is geared to an international audience while still staying true to the Nigerian market content wise. Don Jazzy shows us his versatility and authority on the beat-box while D’banj advances his story as an Entertainer to now being 'Endowed'".[5] A writer for BellaNaija added that "D’banj has always had a way with wordplay and this is no exception. Over a strumming Don Jazzy beat, D’Banj tells us how is 'Mr Endowed'".[1]

"Mr Endowed" was nominated for Hottest Single of the Year at the 2011 Nigeria Entertainment Awards.[6] The music video for the song was nominated for Best Afro Pop Video and Video of the Year at the 2010 Nigeria Music Video Awards (NMVA).[7] Moreover, D'banj was nominated for the Best Use of Effects award at the aforementioned awards for the music video.[7]
