Multani dialect
Multani is the main dialect of Saraiki[1] and is spoken in southern Punjab, Pakistan. Its name derives from Multan, the main city of the area where it is spoken. This area spans Multan District, Muzaffargarh District and parts of adjacent districts like Lodhran. In Dera Ghazi Khan District, it is alternatively known as Derawali.[2]
Khwaja Ghulam Farid was an eminent poet of Multani.
