The National Olympiad of Informatics (Romanian: Olimpiada Naţională de Informatică) is the most important Romanian competition in Informatics. The best Romanian students get to this contest from every county of Romania. These students are the best at the Olimpiada Judeţeană de Informatică which takes place in every county. The best students at ONI enter Romania's team for IOI, BOI and CEOI.
The Olympiad of Informatics consists of several rounds of solving complex computer programming problems[1] using algorithms capable of delivering results in a limited time (usually at most 1 second). The problems are applications of graph theory, game theory, geometry and general use of data structures and algorithms.
