New Wave Hot Dogs is the second studio album by American indie rock band Yo La Tengo, released in 1987 by record label Coyote.
Release
New Wave Hot Dogs was re-released, along with President Yo La Tengo and the "Asparagus Song" single, by Coyote on one CD in 1989 and reissued by City Slang and Matador.

The album was described by Dave Henderson in a 1988 review in Underground magazine as "a fine album, a loveable set of tunes – all put together with the greatest of ease."[2] AllMusic called it "a quantum leap over the sound of their debut".[1]
