The 41st District seat of the New York State Senate is currently held by Sue Serino (R).
The seat was held for a good number of years by Stephen Saland (R) who was originally elected to the office in 1990[1] In 2006 he defeated Brian Keeler (D), a netroots politician and blogger,[2] to retain his seat. In the 2012 State Senate Campaign Saland was defeated by Terry W. Gipson (D) by 2,100 votes. Gipson, in turn, lost the seat to Sue Serino in the November, 2014 election.
