Nuebe Patrol (stylized as 9 Patrol) was the local television counterpart of TV Patrol in Pagadian City. It was the only regional newscast that is not produced by the ABS-CBN Regional Network Group (now ABS-CBN Regional), and was instead locally produced by MIT-RTVN Inc. The program aired throughout Zamboanga del Sur at around 5:00-5:45 PM live (non-real time) from ABS-CBN Pagadian News Center with replays at 7:30 AM on ABS-CBN Channel 9 (for non-cable viewers) and Channel 14 (for cable viewers).
The newscast replaced TV Patrol Northwestern Mindanao, which ended in 2009 due to its controversial copyright protection violation committed by Leo Santillan, the local producer of the program.
As it was not produced by the ABS-CBN Regional Network Group (now ABS-CBN Regional), the program used a format, graphics package and theme music independent from the main national newscast TV Patrol and its regional versions. Its content was also editorially independent from ABS-CBN News.[1] However, ABS-CBN News provided news coverage on the region through TV Patrol Chavacano and TV Patrol Northern Mindanao.
The program ended its run on May 30, 2014 and is replaced with a simulcast of the said Cagayan de Oro-based newscast on June 2, 2014 when the station is now relay to began expanding its coverage area to the region.
