Omer Atzili (Hebrew: עומר אצילי; born 27 July 1993) is an Israeli footballer who plays for Spanish club Granada CF mainly as a right winger.

Club career

Hapoel Rishon LeZion

Atzili was born in Holon, and started his career at Maccabi Tel Aviv's youth setup. In 2009 he moved to Hapoel Rishon LeZion, spending two years in the under-20 squad before making his professional debut on 17 October 2011, coming on as a late substitute for Asi Baldout in a 1–1 Israeli Premier League away draw against Beitar Jerusalem.[1]

Atzili scored his first professional goal on 12 May 2012, but in a 1–2 home loss against Hapoel Acre;[2] his side also suffered relegation in the end of the season. He subsequently became an important unit for the club in Liga Leumit, scoring six goals as his side missed out promotion in the play-offs; highlights included a brace in a 2–2 draw at Maccabi Petah Tikva on 10 May 2013.[3]

Beitar Jerusalem

On 30 July 2013, Atzili signed a four-year contract with Beitar Jerusalem in the main category.[4] He made his debut for the club on 24 August by starting in a 0–2 home loss against Hapoel Be'er Sheva,[5] and was mainly used as a substitute during his first season.

Atzili only became an undisputed starter for Beitar in the 2015–16 campaign, where he scored a career-best seven goals.[6]

Granada

On 31 August 2016, Atzili signed a four-year deal with La Liga side Granada CF,[7] for a rumoured fee of 750,000.[8] He made his debut in the category on 11 September, starting in a 1–2 home loss against SD Eibar.[9]

International career

After representing Israel at under-19 and under-21 levels, Atzili received his first call up to the senior squad on 31 August 2016, for a 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Italy.[10] He made his full international debut on 5 September, replacing Nir Bitton in the 1–3 loss at the Sammy Ofer Stadium in Haifa.[11]
