PH Grand Piano
The PH Grand Piano, or simply the PH Piano, is a piano model designed by Danish architect and writer Poul Henningsen.
The design was the result of a commission from the Andreas Christensen manufacturing company who wanted a piano which was both functional and modern. In 1935 Henningsen designed the PH Pianette for the same manufacturer.[1]
The piano is on display in several museums of art and design, including the Metropolitan Museum in New York and the Danish Design Museum in Copenhagen. It was also used by Alvar Aalto for the music room in his Villa Mairea.[2]
