Palaeoloxodon chaniensis is an extinct species of straight-tusked pygmy elephant. The genus Palaeoloxodon is related to the living Asian Elephant. The species is described from limited remains found in Stylos and in Vamos cave, Chania, west Crete.[1][2][3]
