Penfibre SDN Berhad is a company owned by Toray Industries (Malaysia) Sdn. Berhad,[3] the subsidiaries of Toray Industries. Founded in 1973 the company has since grown to become a world leader in supplying the finest quality fibre to top producers of premium grade sewing threads. In 1998, the company started to manufacture polyester film under the brand of Toray Lumiror Polyster. The plant has a capacity for producing 60,000 tons of polyester staple fibre a year. The company was divided into 2 different divisions, Penfibre Film and Penfibre Fibre.

Division

Penfibre Film Division

Specialized in BOPET (POLYESTER) FILM manufacturing plant under the trademark of Lumirror. Lumirror is a leading polyester film brand widely used in electrical and electronic products as well as food packaging application, and being accredited of its excellent quality and reliability to meet challenging demands for high quality film. There current number of employee is 409 people at this division.

Penfibre Fibre Division

Has a capacity for producing 60,000 tons of polyester staple fibre a year.The main product is a unique polyester staple fibre with super-bright luster that offers unmatched performance in spinning
