The Company started its activity in 1973 with the name of ISA (Industria Serramenti in Alluminio). After the acquisition - dated 1986 - of the Australian company "Permasteel Industries Pty Ltd." – that manufactured the curtain wall of the Sydney Opera House – the Company name was changed to Permasteelisa. This acquisition gives the start to the international expansion, first into Singapore and Hong Kong markets, that to Japan, China, Thailand and Malaysia.

The European market expansion is driven from the Headquarters in Vittorio Veneto, Treviso, through the acquisition of the Dutch Scheldebouw B.V. in 1994, and the German Josef Gartner GmbH in 2001.

At the end of the 1990s, the Group starts it activity in the USA, first pushing the Interiors Fit-Out Business, than investing also on the Curtain Wall market.

The Board of Directors has been nominated on 7 April 2016 and the Chairman is Mr. Davide Croff. The Chief Executive Officer is Mr. Riccardo Mollo.

As of 31 December 2015 the Permasteelisa Group turnover is 1,527.52 in thousands of Euro, plus 15% compared to the 2014 result. The normalized EBIT is 40,903 in thousands of Euro, representing 2.7% of the sales. The Shareholders' equity amounted to 234.69 thousands of Euro, while the Net Financial Position is negative for 305,615 thousands of Euro.

Activities

It’s one of the most representative examples of “pocket-sized” multinational, companies with a modest turnover but with a worldwide presence. The main area of activity for the Permasteelisa Group is the curtain wall sector. In 2015 the Exteriors Business Unit represented the 84.5% of the turnover (83.3% in 2002), the Interiors Business Unit the 12.7% and Contract Business Unit the 2.8%.
