Pixhawk
Pixhawk is an independent, open hardware project intended to provide high-end autopilot hardware to the academic, hobby and industrial communities at low cost.
Pixhawk 1 was a collaboration between the Ardupilot team and the PX4 team, and was funded by 3DRobotics (Lorenz, Mike, Jeff, Craig and others)
Pixhawk 2 continued this partnership, but is now managed in the community by Philip Rowse (ProfiCNC)
There are many derivatives of the Pixhawk family, but as the Pixhawk is licensed as cc-by-sa 3.0, calling a board "Pixhawk" is a breach of the licence terms if used without permission. Pixhawk tm is a trademark held by Lorenz Meier. It is used by ProfiCNC and 3DR with permission.
