Pocket Size
Pocket Size is the name of a house music duo from England, featuring producer Darren Pearson and singer Liz Overs. In 1999 they hit #1 on the US Billboard Hot Dance Music/Club Play chart with "Walking" on Atlantic Records.[1]
After their sole album 100% Human, the duo left Atlantic Records, and changed band name to Baby Jupiter. However no new material has been forthcoming.
"Walking" was used on the soundtrack for the film, Anywhere but Here. Their track, "Human Touch", was used on the opening credits of an episode of Charmed and a British film, Virtual Sexuality.
Pearson and Overs first performed together in the Eastbourne based pop band The Hip Troop [2]
Darren Pearson claimed that the band was mixing a new album around 2012,[3] however nothing came up. According to the official Facebook page, they would be back with a new 5 track EP under the slightly different name "Pocketsize" at the end of 2013.[4]
Pocket Size have been gigging regularly since 2013 and are playing more acoustic, country, folk, appalachian-tinged versions of some of their album in addition to covers of The Louvin Brothers and Bobbie Gentry tunes to much acclaim.
