Poluru is village in Nandyal mandal of Kurnool District of Andhra Pradesh in India.

It is 12 km from Nandyal and is located on Nandyal-Nandikotkur road. The Z.P.H.School in this village is well known for the standard of education. Students from surrounding villages commute to Polur for attending this school. Alumni of this school are in various esteem positions. Few of them are working in leading enterprises in India and few are pursuing higher education in top universities of USA.

St. Ann's School, the Catholic school in this village recently completed its hundredth year this year. And Poluru Catholic Church(HOLY Family Church) had completed its hundred years in 1997 and is among the largest churches in the Kurnool District and also one if the oldest parish in the Rayalaseema region.

The village is well balanced with all the religions like Hindu,Muslim,Catholics and Christians.People live in harmony respecting other religions and their festivals.
