Preethsod Thappa (Kannada: ಪ್ರೀತ್ಸೋದ್ ತಪ್ಪಾ) is a 1998 Indian Kannada language romance-drama musical film directed by V. Ravichandran and produced by Rockline Venkatesh. The film stars V. Ravichandran and Shilpa Shetty in the lead roles.[1] Actors Lokesh and Lakshmi and Prakash Raj feature in other prominent roles. The film is a remake of Telugu blockbuster film Ninne Pelladata (1996) starring Akkineni Nagarjuna and Tabu in the lead roles.
The film released on 6 November 1998 across Karnataka cinema halls and was declared a musical blockbuster with all the songs tuned by Hamsalekha receiving exceptionally well. This was the last film with Hamsalekha - Ravichandran combination before they parted ways due to the differences in opinion.[2]
