Prema Baraha is an upcoming Indian bilingual film made simultaneously both in Kannada and Tamil which is written and directed by Arjun Sarja.[1] Bigg Boss fame Chandan Kumar playing the male lead role along with Arjun's daughter Aishwarya Arjun debuting to sandalwood as female lead through this movie.[2] Tamil version titled as Kaadhalin Pon Veethiyil. Prema Baraha is derived from Arjun Sarja's song 'Prema Baraha Koti Taraha' from Pratap. The song was a hit and Arjun has used the first two words of the song as the title. Arjun Sarja himself has written the story and screenplay of the film.[3]

Arjun Sarja direct his daughter as lead actress is also for the first time in Kannada cinema.[4] Now Arjun Sarja has finally finished the pre-production of his latest film which stars his daughter Aishwarya. This being a bilingual project, made in Kannada and Tamil, Arjun Sarja has decided to keep its Kannada title as Prema Baraha. It is his second Kannada film direction and 15th direction in his career as actor, director, producer and writer. Prema Baraha is derived from Arjun Sarja's song Prema Baraha Koti Taraha from Pratap. The song was a hit and Arjun has used the first two words of the song as the title. Arjun Sarja has made a small change in the casting. Initially, the actor and director had chosen Chetan Kumar to play the lead for the bilingual, but Chandan Kumar has replaced him. Chandan Kumar was the runner up of Kannada Bigg Boss Season 3. It is said that Chetan Kumar backed out of the film because of the change in the characterization.[5]
The film was launched on 22 May 2016, with promotional stills from a shoot released shortly after.[6]
