Prince Nicolas of Belgium (Nicolas Casimir Marie; born 13 December 2005) is the second child of Prince Laurent and Princess Claire of Belgium. He is currently 14th after his sister in the line of succession to the Belgian throne.

Early life

Prince Nicolas was born on 13 December 2005 in Woluwe-Saint-Lambert. He has an older sister, Princess Louise (born 2004), and a younger twin brother, Prince Aymeric of Belgium. Prince Nicolas was named after his maternal grandfather, the Englishman Nicolas Coombs.

On 29 May 2014, he and his brother Aymeric made their first communion at Sainte-Catherine Bonlez, a district of Chaumont-Gistoux in the province of Walloon Brabant, with the royal family in attendance.[1][2]
