Pugh Shoal

Pugh Shoal (54°2′S 38°13′W / 54.033°S 38.217°W / -54.033; -38.217Coordinates: 54°2′S 38°13′W / 54.033°S 38.217°W / -54.033; -38.217) is an area of shoal 1.5 nautical miles (2.8 km) south of Main Island in the Willis Islands, South Georgia. Named by the United Kingdom Antarctic Place-Names Committee (UK-APC) for Able Seaman Peter J. Pugh of HMS Owen, which first charted this shoal in 1961.
