Pujya Deepakbhai Desai was born on May 9, 1953 in Morbi, Gujarat, India.[1] He is the current torch bearer of the Akram Vignan movement founded by Dada Bhagwan.[2]

Life

Pujya Deepakbhai was born in Morbi, Gujarat, India. His place of origin (paternal hometown) is Vavania, and his family home is right next door to that of Shrimad Rajchandra.[3] He is the youngest among five children. He graduated with a degree in Mechanical Engineering from VJTI College in Mumbai in the early 1970s.

After graduating from college, he worked in the textile industry as a Mechanical Engineer for a few years. He then created and ran a consulting firm, which was also in the textile industry, until he retired and dedicated his entire life to the service of the Akram Vignan mission.[4]

Spiritual Inclination

Pujya Deepakbhai attained Self Realization from Param Pujya Dada Bhagwan (Dadashri) on March 6, 1971 at the age of Seventeen.[5]

During the early years when there were only a few spiritual aspirants attending Param Pujya Dadashri's satsang, Pujya Deepakbhai helped Pujya Niruma, who was in constant seva (devoted service) of Param Pujya Dadashri, write and record His satsangs (spiritual discourses).

Throughout the community, he is known for his sincerity and utmost humbleness. For instance, he would help Pujya Niruma serve Dada Bhagwan and even help out carrying menial tasks such as sweeping the floor, placing floor mats, preparing for spiritual discourses, and running errands.[6]

Together they compiled Param Pujya Dadashri’s speech topic-wise making different books on the spiritual science of Akram Vignan; these books have profoundly touched the lives of thousands of people and continue to do so.[7]

In 1987, Param Pujya Dada Bhagwan graced him with special blessings to conduct spiritual satsangs.[8] Besides India, he conducts Satsangs and Gnan Vidhi ceremonies throughout the year, in various other countries.[9][10]

In 2003, Pujya Niruma bestowed Pujya Deepakbhai with special blessings, which were originally given by Param Pujya Dada Bhagwan, to give Atma Gnan (Self Realization).

Known for his pure celibacy, he has been conducting discourses on this topic and has been a role model for youth, who have a special interest in practicing celibacy.[11]

His spiritual discourses are in the form of question and answer sessions and for the past eight years they have been regularly broadcast on various Indian TV channels throughout the world.[12]
