Rådhuspladsen (Danish pronunciation: [ˈʁʌðhuːˀspʰl̥asn], lit. City Hall Square) is a rapid transit station under construction on the City Circle Line of the Copenhagen Metro.

Location

Rådhuspladsen is located underneath the square of the same name in central Copenhagen, part of the Indre By district. Additionally, it will provide access to the southwestern end of Strøget, the National Museum of Denmark, Gammeltorv and Nytorv.

History

Construction on Rådhuspladsen station began in 2009, with an expected delivery date of late 2018 along with the rest of the City Circle Line. During the station's construction, a work site took over the western half of the square to allow for excavation and station shell construction.[1]
