Rafaqat Hussain Awan is an engineer and currently a member of the Kashmir Council, Azad Kashmir, Pakistan.[1]

He was born in Awan Patti, Muzaffarabad, Azad Kashmir,[2] and was educated at Hattian Dopatta High School. He graduated from UET Lahore in civil engineering.

He began his political career in 2003 and became a member of Kashmir Council in 2011.
