Rajan Anandan
Rajan Anandan is the Vice President of Google, South East Asia & India and is responsible for sales and operations in this region. Rajan is also one of the investors and advisers at TravelKhana, Socialblood, Capillary Technologies, Mapmygenome and Cardback.[1][2][3] He is also on the Advisory Board of Sapience Analytics[4] and 24/7 Techies.[5][6]
Early life
Rajan has an MSc. in Manufacturing Systems Engineering from Stanford University and a BSc. in Mechanical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Rajan was born in Sri Lanka. [7]
Career
He became the managing director of Google India in August 2011. Before this role, he used to be with Microsoft and Dell. He was the managing director of Microsoft India and built the largest software company in India. He was the Managing Director of Dell India.[8] He led Dell India from 2006 to 2008. Prior to Dell and Microsoft, Rajan worked for McKinsey & Company in USA, where he was a partner.[9]
Personal life
Rajan is the son of former Guinness World Records holder V.S. Kumar Anandan, and Manel Anandan (née Samaraweera).[10] He is married to Radhika and has a daughter.
