The mangrove rail (Rallus longirostris) is a species of bird in the family Rallidae. It is found in South America. It was formerly considered conspecific with the clapper rail (Rallus crepitans).[2][3]
Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical mangrove forests and coastal saline lagoons. It is threatened by habitat loss.
