Rajkumari Phool Kanwar later known as Rani Phool Bai Rathore was the 5th wife of Maharana Pratap of Mewar. She was the granddaughter of Marwari Emperor Raja Maldeo Rathore. She was born in 1542 and died after 1597. After the death of Maharani Ajabde, she became one of the important wives of Maharana Pratap.[1][2]

Ajabde and Phool Kunwar

Maharani Ajabde was Rajkumari Phool Kanwar best friend growing up, the two shared an impeccable bond. You would often find that where one of them was the other would be their as well. Phool kanwar always thought of Ajabde as her sister and Ajabde Punwar loved Phool kunwar as her own sister. The friendship between them was so strong that all villagers believed that nothing would ever tear them apart. Growing up they did everything together well at least until Ajabde Punwar got married to Maharana Pratap. Ajabde marriage to Pratap was the end of their childhood friendship as both of them had fallen in love with Pratap. The two didn't speak or see each other for years, they met years later when Phool Kunwar was married to Maharana Pratap. Immediately after meeting the two broke down into tears and reconciled their long lost childhood friendship.
