Rayalaseema Diocese is a diocese of Church of South India in Andrapradesh state of India.The diocese one among the 22 dioceses of Church of South India.
About the Diocese
It is one of the Telugu Diocese among the six of Church of South India. The origin of the diocese is by the London Mission Society. The headquarters of CSI Rayalaseema diocese is at Kadapa. There are 16 town committees and 20 divisions under the Rayalaseema diocese. Nearly 70 pastors are working in the diocese in 2000 churches under them, most of them being in rural areas. The rural churches are united in some number as pastorates with a pastorate head quarters, where, the pastor stays and administers the remaining churches in villages. Along with them there are several evangelists, bible women visiting the villages and preaching the God's word. Biferication took place between our diocese and Nandyala diocese in the year 1984 during the times of Our Bishop Rt. Rev Dr. L.V. Azariaha and the bishop of Nandyala Diocese Rt. Rev. Reider Devapriyam.
