Ridit Sunil Nimdia (born 2004) is a chess player from Mumbai, India. At 4 years, 270 days;[1] he became the world’s youngest rated player,[2] when he received his first official Elo rating of 1283.[3] He has participated in two national and school championships in India. His current head coach is Praveen Kothari of Udaipur.

In July–Aug 2010, at the age of 5 he participated in Under-7 section of 6th World School Chess Championship held in Kayseri, Turkey.[4] He claimed the third position[5] with score of 6.5/9.[5]

The fact of Ridit Nimdia being the Youngest Rated player was verified and recorded by the Limca book of Records in the 2012 edition with his Photograph.

He also defeated a FIDE rated player in a world championship at the youngest age.[6]
