Roberto Briche (c.1519-) was an English sailor and conquistador, he accompanied Pedro de Mendoza in the expedition to the Rio de la Plata.[1]
Biography
Roberto was born in Spalding, arrived in the New World in 1536,[2] Briche had witnessed the murder of the conqueror Juan de Osorio, perpetrated by his rival Juan de Ayolas.[3] He returned to Spain with Mendoza, participating in the trial for the death of Osorio.[4]
